PLS-300 Series

Labeling systems for quality and efficiency in supply chain applications Paragon’s PLS-300 series offers high-quality and cost-effective solutions for either apply-only or print-and-apply labeling of products, cartons, cases, and pallets across the supply chain. From its attractive purchase price to its rugged design and precision engineering, the PLS-300 series is an outstanding choice for standard labeling applications.

Paragon PLS-310
The PLS-310 is a robust apply-only label applicator, providing all the powerful PLS-300 chassis features for applications using pre-printed labels. This machine comes equipped with our patented Express module that features stepper drive with the ability to apply labels at 24" per second, backlit programmable display, solid state controls, and a unique “push-pull” label drive design. You can apply pre-printed labels today; then, if your needs change to require print and apply in the future, simply remove the Express module and replace it with the OEM print engine of choice to upgrade this machine to a PLS-320 printer applicator.

Paragon PLS-320
The PLS-320 offers the same performance, quality, control, and integration as the PLS-310, with a print engine for print-and-apply applications. These durable label applicators produce labels “on demand” and apply them automatically in a single, easy operation, dramatically improving quality, appearance, and productivity. Expanding on “next off” technology, PLS-320 labelers use every label, eliminating waste. They can accommodate most any size label and can easily print sequential numbers, time/date stamps, lot codes, expiration dates, barcodes, human readable text, graphics, and more.

PLS-400 Series

Advanced labeling systems designed for integration, logic control and RFID-EPC "smart label" encoding Paragon PLS-410
The PLS-410 is a robust apply-only label applicator for applications using pre-printed labels. Should your needs change in the future, remove the patented Express module and replace it with the OEM print engine of choice to upgrade to a PLS-420 print-and-apply system, or install the RFID module of choice and upgrade to a PLS-430 or PLS-440 system.

Paragon PLS-420
The PLS-420 is a durable print-and-apply labeler that produces labels on demand and applies them in a single, easy operation. Expanding on “next-off” technology, the PLS-420 uses every label and eliminates waste. It accommodates most any label size and prints sequential numbers, time/date stamps, lot codes, expiration dates, bar codes, human readable text, graphics, and more.

Paragon PLS-430
The PLS-430 is an Encode & Apply system that integrates RFID technology with all the benefits of the PLS-400 chassis system. The PLS-430 includes a fully integrated reader with antenna for verifying, encoding, re-verifying and then applying RFID labels to pallets and cases. Any tag that is not verified remains on the waste liner, and the next tag moves into position for verification. The PLS-430 provides a clear migration path to Print, Encode & Apply should your application needs change.

Paragon PLS-440
The PLS-440 is a Print, Encode & Apply system that enables you to program RFID tags and print variable data to smart labels on-demand. Like the PLS-430, the PLS-440 verifies the tag prior to application. The patent pending quiet label reject mechanism rapidly redirects any unreadable label onto the waste liner roll so that it is not applied. The label is then reproduced with an active tag label and applied.

PLS-450 Series

Advanced automated labeling control systems
designed to maximize productivity.
Paragon’s automated print-and-apply monitoring and control system, the PLS-450, enables you to integrate sophisticated labeling systems with industry accepted factory networks, software and controls, on either a small-scale or enterprise-wide basis. With added capabilities, the PLS-450 network can remotely monitor and control a wide range of labeling systems, sensors, instruments, machines, and processes. The PLS-450 monitoring and control system for automated labeling is comprised of four fundamental components.

Print-and-Apply Technology
Known throughout the industry for its modularity, integration and performance, the Paragon PLS-400 series is a reliable solution for item, carton and pallet labeling applications. Utilizing industry leading thermal printing solutions, the PLS-450 is an outstanding choice for labeling applications that are tightly integrated and controlled with Allen-Bradley high performance components.

PLC Control with GUI
Built on the foundation of the Allen-Bradley MicroLogix™ programmable logic controller (PLC) coupled with the PanelView™ family of graphical user interface (GUI) terminals from Rockwell Automation, this control station offers the user a rugged electronic interface solution in a variety of sizes and configurations. PanelView terminals are optimized for machine level interface. These terminals provide tight integration with the control system, Allen-Bradley DeviceNet communications protocol for local networking, and Ethernet for wide area interfaces.

Connectivity
The PLS-450 tightly integrates its network of labelers, sensors, scanners and other components via DeviceNet™. The DeviceNet network is a flexible and open option used to connect industrial devices to a network and to eliminate costly and time-consuming hardwiring. Direct connectivity improves communication and provides device-level diagnostics not available or easily accessible through hardwired I/O interfaces. Now, with the introduction of the PLS-450 series, automated labeling networks can leverage these industry proven capabilities to meet the most demanding print-and-apply applications.

Software Subsystem
With the core control and logic of the labeling network now implemented from a single point interface, a new level of functionality is implemented in the PLS-450 to take advantage of features and flexibility of the Allen-Bradley PLC and DeviceNet connectivity. Functions previously managed and monitored from an individual labeling system level are now easily managed and administered through the Paragon PLS-450 software subsystem. Up to six PLS-450 labeling systems and a wide array of DeviceNet peripherals are supported from a single GUI at the PLS-450 controller. With this centralized master control, complex, high volume labeling can be efficiently and economically addressed.

Paragon Labeling Systems ensures the highest value for your investment. You can benefit from converging technologies and future technologies, increasing the productivity of your operations with fast and accurate data anywhere, anytime.
